We work strategically and effectively to ensure our projects are community-driven and impactful. When appropriate, we bring on additional specialists to enhance our capabilities and better serve our clients' needs. Together, we are committed to fostering equitable access to resources and creating positive change in the communities we serve.
Victoria (she/her) is a Métis-Cree lawyer, educator, and consultant who works internationally across disciplines, but has focused practices in Nunavut and Manitoba. The Sammurtok family gave Victoria the Inuktitut name ᑕᒐᓕᑭᑕ (Tagalikita/Butterfly). She has a Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees and is presently working towards an LLM (Master of Laws) at Osgoode Hall. She has published internationally and domestically on social and legal issues, tackling issues from gender-based violence to Indigenous statelessness. Victoria is a Director at the Indigenous Bar Association, the Nunavut Law Foundation, and is a member of the Ukrainian Canadian Bar Association Working Group on Sexualized Violence. She gives back to her community by providing pro-bono legal education in remote and isolated communities, promoting the reinvigoration of traditional forms of justice, and through artistic mentorships. Victoria’s diverse experiences underscore her dedication to driving change. Her work reflects a deep commitment to justice, policy, education, and the arts, all of which are essential to building empowered, thriving communities.
Sunday (They/Them) is a Two-Spirit Swampy Cree First Nations consultant, advocate, Gladue Writer and student. Sunday is originally from Ohpáskowayáhk (The Pas/OCN) and a proud band member of Kinosao Sipi (Norway House Cree Nation), both located on Treaty 5 territory.
Sunday now resides in Winnipeg Manitoba where they are a passionate advocate for Northern 2SLGBTQIA+ health and wellbeing with special regard to Trans health care. Sunday has various connections with elders, community and Indigenous governance due to their many years of working and being a part of community. Sunday is currently on the Two-Spirit in Motion Youth Council, the Manitoban Suicide Prevention Advisory Circle, and a board member for Regenesis Centre for Recovery, ensuring that Indigenous 2SLGBTQIA+ youth voices are at the forefront.
